General Conditions
Booking and final payment must be complete no later than 30 days before the expedition start date. When a booking is made, 20% of the total price of the expedition has to be paid to Backcountry Lapland as a deposit, preferrably by bank wire. Payment by credit/debit card incurs an additional processing fee. Payment in currency other than SEK incurs an additional exchange fee.
Backcountry Lapland provides a travel guarantee security in accordance with the Swedish Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency.

We require that the customer signs an agreement on site in Luleå. The form can be made available upon request or automatically when a booking is made.
Specific Conditions
A. The following conditions overrule the general conditions:
1. In case of cancellation more than 30 days before the expedition begins, the participant will be reimbursed minus a cancellation fee equal to 5 % of the expedition price.
2. For cancellatation 30 to 15 days before the expedition, the participant will be reimbursed minus a cancellation fee equal to 25 % of the expedition price.
3. For cancellatation 14 to 8 days before the expedition, the participant will be reimbursed minus a cancellation fee equal to 50 % of the expedition price.
4. For cancellatation 7 days or less before the expedition, no reimbursement is made.
B. Backcountry Lapland may cancel tours up to 30 days before the specific tour if the minimum number of participants has not been reached. Participants affected by this decision are contacted personally and offered an alternative tour or a full reimbursement.
C. Our guides have the absolute right to make final judgement regarding adaptations to the daily programme according to the weather and the condition of the group.
D. Participants that violate the guide's safety regulations and/or compromise the safety of the group will be expelled from the tour immediately and pay for all additional costs on their own. After the tour is finished and all participants are on their own, we will gladly discuss this decision. Such a course of action taken by Backcountry Lapland would be for the purpose of minimizing the risks for our customers.
